Wow! Long time no post eh? Sorry..so busy. The Redmoon Spectacle ran for 10 days and closed on Sunday. I worked my butt off..literally..I have no butt anymore. It was a huge success. about 11,000 people saw it all together in 10 nights we ran. Reviews were good and I am POOPED! Now I focus on my show with The Storytellers. For more info about that show go to: www.thestorytellersofchicago.blogspot.com thats the companies site. We had our first reh last night-it was AWSOME! I have such great talent to work with. This Picture is from my job at Gymboree. This is what I do everyday. This isn't one of my students this is a poster child, but cute none the less. Chris and I move in three weeks into a new apartment, and it has WAY more space. So I am very excited about that. I hope all is well with you. Happy Wednesday!

So we did it! 11 actors all together and now we have a show. I go to sign the contracts with Strawdog Theater tomorrow and get this production under way! I am pumped! We have some great talent and this is going to be a great show. Now if I can survive Redmoon's Spectacle madness I will be fine. We open tomorrow. I just saw our Port-o-potties driving down the street on the way to the site. That's one less thing I have to worry about. 10 days- its just 10 days...I can do this.

THE STORYTELLERS...

Head Shots

Welcome to the birth of my Chicago Based Theater Company- THE STORYTELLERS. Myself, Chris, My brother Michael and Jason (my gay boyfriend)- have created and given birth to THE STORYTELLERS. A really cool, really fun company I hope will take off and become a thriving social force in the Chicago Theater world. We held our first Auditions for A NIGHT OF ADULT SHELSILVERSTIEN that will run for a week in November. We had some REAL talent show up. It was thrilling. The show is a series of one acts written by Shel. They ARE NOT for children. The man was a bit twisted really-in a good way. I am directing two of them, Chris is Directing two and Michael is doing two as well. 7 one acts total. Chris is performing one that is audience participative. We are stoked. Auditions were a blast. Round two and call backs are Saturday. Then we start production. WE NEED MORE MEN TO AUDITION! Its nice to see that the actor pool is the same all over..LOTS of women, not so many men... And thanks to hurricane Katrina Redmoon has had to re-write the show on the lagoon. See previous posts for the photo of the show plans before Katrina....We open a week from today.....2,000 people a night-30 volunteers under my command....Show on the water....Pray for me.
