My Lil' Tree

My Lil' Tree

It's begining to look a lot like Christmas.....yep sure is. We got this lil' $10 tree and slapped some LED lights (won't ever burn out) on it..some small bulbs and some random ornaments we had around and hung our stockings..pretty cool. We also have a little light up ceramic tree Chris' Grandfather made..much like the one my mom has at her house that MY grandfather made. You know the kind with the Light Brite light pegs in it that light up. Every night we open the window and let the street see our tree, then we close it up at night. Chris leaves for his Christmas vaca home in a week or so. I am going home Dec 23rd-27th. Chris probably won't be back in Chi-town before New Years Eve, wich seems to be upsetting me more than him. Guess I'll have to go out solo to ring in the new year. Well Merry Chrismakwanzahannakah to you and yours! Have a Safe and Happy season everyone!

How did it go you ask?

Box Office Mari

So- The show was a success!! We made enough money to pay ALL the actors $20 bucks a show. Payed for the space-$700 bucks. Paid for printing: $150 bucks and covered all but 80 bucks of our incidental costs (i.e. printer ink, costumes and props). Not bad for our first show in Chicago. Shel Silversteins nephew came and saw the show and he LOVED it. That was very cool. Thursday night we have only 5 empty seats in a house that sells out at 67. Our midnight show had 40+ people there- and our cast party Sat night Rocked so hard I crashed out under my bed due to exhaustion (because my bed was covered with guests coats). This pic is of me in the box office of Strawdog. This was all together a GREAT experience. I can't wait for the next one. Joe when are you going to submit a script??

It's Game time all!! This was last nights dress rehearsal at the Strawdog Theater. It went VERY well. Show is going to be GREAT!! visit: www.chicagoreader.com and click the Theatre link to see us listed FIRST!! IT's so cool we can't stand it! This is Ali and Kelly working some blocking out for "Buy one-Get one free" the musical One act in the collection that required a compser (shel wrote lyrics and no music), cheoreography and a knife. Michael lovingly calls this one "The Hooker Piece". We share Strawdog's stage with their production of Three Sisters so thats their set...but it works great for us! We open Monday! Hope we break many legs!

I took this shot outside my job at Gymboree while I was going across the street to get lunch. It's nice to work in the shadow of the sears tower. Chicago is starting to get bitter again..boo. But spring, summer and fall were so lovely I couldn't possibly complain. Busy season is on me at work now, so life is getting complicated- but the new flat is working out splendedly. The invite still stands for all of you..we have GREAT guest acomidations. Gotta go...work calls..boo.
