Yeah..I chipped that tooth when I was 8 years old, at Wolf Trap Farm Park for The Performing Arts. (You had to call it that then..it was still relatively new. Now days Wolf Trap is all you have to say) Anyway- My new step-brother Michael (11yrs old) and I are chillin' in the ushers trailer, with the cool college kids who were ushering that summer. I am sitting on the railing of the deck up to the trailer door. Michael walks out to the front deck and smacks me in the face with the door. (accidentally of course) and lo an behold the chipped tooth. I have had it fixed since my braces came off, but every 5 years or so- it chipps back off...last night over a turkey burger**...it did just that. Friday morning (today) I teach three art classes looking like a beverly hillbilly. And then RUN to the dentist, to seek repair. (I did after all JUST start a new job in the boxoffice for THE VICTORY GARDENS, a really FACE FORWARD kinda job). Small monetary set back...nothing I can't handle...Nice face huh?? : ) Tomorrow I will post the after pic.

Pool anyone??
So Monday before I flew home I got to hang with my friend Kevin whom I have know sice I was 10 years old. That is a LONG time to know someone. We don't get to see each other much, but when we do its like we just pick up where we left off. It is a nice thing. This is a shot of me he took while we were having a few and shooting some pool killing time till I flew out. I like this shot cause I look like a total pool shark...when really I actually stink pretty big at Pool. but it was fun and a nice way to wind up the weekend!

BUSY DAYZ!!
Wow- so boy have I been slammed. The day after my last post the water came back on in my apartment...(sorry to leave you hangin' Joe) and I was hired as Box Office Manager of The Victory Gardens Theatre. Its Part time now- but hopefully will turn Full time very soon. This is a picture of the Lobby of the building where I will be getting an apartment in June, and where we held Auditions last night for Steel Magnolias with an all male cast. Some really interesting men came out. It was cool. I started work at The Gardens on Monday and I am just going to LOVE it there!! My friend Steve from Wilmington got into town on Wednesday and we have been entertaining him for a few days now. I forgot how much I missed that guy! Tonight I fly out to Baltimore for Heather's 29th Birthday Bash. I am sorta at Heather's beck and call seeing as she paid for my trip- but I am gonna try to squeeze in some visiting time for my other friends if I can swing it. If I can't- my apologies to all and I promise to come back soon! I expect to be really crazy when I get back- with two jobs and The Storytellers begining production on Steel Magnolias, so don't be suprized if there aren't as many Blogs as usual. I still love you and I will post as often as time allows.
Have a great weekend all!!

What a Night....
ok- so Sunday Morning, I awake to discover NO RUNNING WATER in my apartment. I have to teach 2 Birthday Parties, go to the closing performance of our show in the Directors Fest and Strike the set (small as it is)- and I have mascara from Saturday Nights Cast outing smeared down to my knees with no way of washing my face.... AAARRRGGG! So Chris gives me a lift to work (mostly so he can wash his face, brush his teeth and use the rest room at Gymboree) I survive the day without smelling too bad...however- apon arrival home at 5pm-STILL NO WATER. We call. James (the not so super- Superintendant) says no plumber would come out on Sunday to fix the pipe. (Translation: Landlord doesn't want to pay Sunday wage for a Plumber to come out) Chris isn't feeling to well, and just wants to eat and sleep and shower, so we find a hotel close by with winter rates still, and we go there. This is the picture of Lake Shore Drive from our room. Today I go to work and get home moments ago- to find...STILL NO WATER. I have dramagirls tonight and an interview after work tomorrow. I HAVE TO HAVE RUNNING WATER TONIGHT!! What the heck could be taking them so long...I do not want to spend another night in a hotel..I don't care how cool the view is...and I can not go to work and my interview tomorrow without a shower..(ewe)...and currently..I have to pee....aaaaauuurrrrgggggg!!!

Good Week
SO as I reach my one month anniversary of being single, I reflected and realized- I had a pretty good week! This Pic was from Sunday, just before I headed out to Ali and Phil's to watch the Oscars. Chris made Chili, and I made pepers and fat free mexican dip (yum) and a great time was had by all. Monday I got a call back from The Victory Gardens theatre about a job I applied for. I have an interview on Tuesday for another job they are offering (they already filled the position I applied for), then Mon night I went to a reading of some scenes by this really fun Playwrite, and that was cool. Tuesday...um I think I just did a lot of Company (the storytellers) work, and Wednesday my friend Kevin Gilligan came into town on his tour doing Childrens Theatre, and he got to stay with me- and we went to dinner and had a really great time. Then last night my company opened our Shel Silverstein musical at the Bailiwick Directors Fest. It was REALLY well recieved! I was very excited for the publicity this might draw to our company. We run Saturday and Sunday at the fest as well. Tonight we don't have a show- so my plan is to go home, work out, and relax in that order. Hope you had a great week too!

Another good Night...
So last night I went with my "Gay Boyfriend" Jason to see Antigone at the Breadline Theater. He scored us some comp tickets cause we know one of the Co-Directors. That was cool. The show was also very cool. After we went here...(see picture) with the cast for a few drinks. White russian's were my drink of choice. It was very fun. I met a lot of really cool theatre people. I was home by midnight, and I was dancing in my dinning room till like 2am. It was also very fun. I just thought I'd post this pic cause I look so freaking CHEEZY! Have a great weekend!

Mardi Mari
So last night was Fat Tuesday- and just like last year I found myself in Scot's on Montrose singing Kareoke. I Rocked! I sang Killing me softly by the Fugees. I sang Candy Everybody Wants by 10,000 Maniacs. I sang Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai, and I finished the night at Midnight with These Boots are Made for Walking by Nancy Sinatra! I got LOTS of cool beads from the people at the bar for singing so awsome. It was cool. The guys sitting next to me even ordered a Pizza and gave me three pieces! I offered to pay even though I had no cash, but they wouldn't take it and that was nice. I had saved 8 points on my weight watchers points plan so I could have a few beers (a light beer is 2 points) and I only took 5 dollars with me. (thats two cheap beers and a pathetic tip in case you were wondering how far 5 bucks goes) and I managed to get my two beers, have one bought for me by the bartender for my rendition of killing me softly, and the pizza guys bought me a beer. And the pizza was only 4 points itself- so I still didn't go over my daily points! How cool was that. Even cooler was that Jenny drove so I didn't have to mass transit it home. All in all it was a great night! The Mardi Gras Theme was Toga- since I was not going out in Chicago in a Toga- this Greek/Romanesk outfit I put together had to do. The purple wrap my mom made and draped it did look Toga-esk. Click on the pic to take you to Flickr where you can check out the other pics from the night! Happy wednesday all!!
